Submissions are made on a non-repository basis, so your work is not added to any student paper database and cannot be matched against itself if you or your institution submit it later. A similarity percentage is not the same as plagiarism: quoted material, your reference list and standard subject terminology routinely return five to twenty percent, which universities accept as normal.
